Man, what a whirlwind the last few days have been! On Saturday, the three of us coming home had to get to the Bangalore airport at like 4:00 AM. I would like to go on record saying that getting up that early is not one of my favorite things in the world. When we finally got through customs and through the gate, we found out our flight was an hour and half delayed. Since there was nothing we could do about it, we found a little restaurant in the airport and had coffee. I have never been so happy to see a latte in my life! Our pilots from Bangalore to London really made up some time, but we still had to run through the London airport "Amazing Race style" in order to make our plane that would bring us home. Once we landed in DFW and I was out of the plane, I had to refrain from kissing the ground! I was so happy, tired, and ready to see my family. When I finally saw Chris, it was a such a relief and happy moment. He took me to Fuzzy's ASAP and then on to our boys. Hugs and kisses galore!
Reflecting back on my week in India, I still can't believe I was there and how God used me. I helped team members teach classes, I taught classes myself, and made connections with teachers in Hosur, India whom I never would've crossed paths otherwise if I hadn't signed up for this trip. I thank God everyday for those who supported me from the very beginning of this journey because I feel like this was meant to happen. I am very honored that God chose me to go with such an amazing group of people. We really worked together well and complimented each other with the talents God has given us. God taught me to be flexible and that I don't always have to have an agenda for every single minute of my life! It's ok to go with the flow - really great things come out of spontanious moments! From the very first class I worked in to the last hug I gave, I felt the prayers of those back home. Teaching there is A LOT different than teaching here! Like I had said in a previous blog, I totally understand where substitutes come from and hopefully this experience will help me this upcoming school year.
I leave you with this -
" I can do all this through him who gives me strength. " (Phil. 4:13)
Please continue to pray for India and our team. We still have people there. They are returning this Saturday!
